Chevrolet released its Super Bowl ads featuring the Volt with some intergalactic visitors and the Sonic with insects. Sergio Pininfarina, who ran the famous Italian automotive design company of the same name for 40 years, has died after a long illness. He was 85. Pininfarina had the last word on the company's design projects for almost 50 years.
The concours on Rodeo started in 1993 with a three-block-long celebration of beautiful cars highlighted by the world debut of the Ferrari 348 Spyder.
